Teen Moms Triumph: Navigating Motherhood Against All Odds
Jasmine J. Robinson
Founder/Executive Director
Being a mother is a challenging job, and it becomes even tougher when you become a mom as a teenager. On tonight's episode of The Nightcap, we will be joined by a group of mothers who will share their experiences, challenges, and accomplishments of raising their children as teen mothers. We'll hear firsthand about the hard work and dedication these mothers have put into raising their kids despite the obstacles they faced.

Tiara Gosey
Tiara Gosey is a 32 year old native Houstonian who is the wife of a minister of music and 3 children.
She was successfully able to graduate on time with her bachelor's degree in psychology from Prairie View A&M University even though she gave birth to two of her children while in college.
Tiara is currently a certified core subject teacher for early childhood to sixth grade and studying to obtain her masters degree in curriculum and education.
When I learned about the college mom coalition, I saw it as a sign to keep pushing forward with my ambitions since I was finally around other women who could support me as a teen mom. Before the coalition, I had instructors who told me I should quit my classes, and stay at home with my unborn child, and not only did my family doubt my ability to succeed in school during and after my pregnancy. The college mom coalition not only gave me access to other mothers who were working to overcome that stigma, but it also enabled me to demonstrate to my family and academics that, despite being a young mother, I was still capable of achieving my goals and pave a way for my children.
